Traveling exhibitions program

One of the fundamental and institutional goals of the Hellenic Centre for Photography is to highlight Greek photography output on a national as well as on an international level. The institution of a special program of traveling exhibitions to public and private cultural agencies and bodies in Greece and overseas at the start of the nineteen eighties, was the starting point for formulating a national network of cultural exchanges, inspiring significant exports of works overseas and bringing the public into extensive contact with the fruits of Greek photography production. In the first year alone, the H.C.P. offered free exhibition program as well as material infrastructure to over forty-two public, municipal and private cultural organisations throughout Greece
